NHL SUSPENDS STARS OTT, SABRES PETERS
Dallas Stars' forward Steve Ott has been suspended for three games, without pay, as a result of delivering a hit to the head of Colorado Avalanche defenseman Jordan Leopold on March 9, at 12:31 of the first period and no penalty was assessed on the play.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Ott will forfeit $12,834.21. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund. He will be eligible to return on March 22 when the Stars host the Los Angeles Kings.
Also, Buffalo Sabres' forward Andrew Peters has been suspended for one game, without pay, for an altercation involving New York Rangers player Colton Orr on March 10.
The incident occurred at 20:00 of the third period. While on the players’ bench, Peters became involved in a confrontation with Orr on the ice. Peters was assessed a 10-minute misconduct on the play.
Peters will miss tonights game at Pittsburgh and Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Peters will forfeit $2,807.49. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
HULU PARTNERS WITH NHL
Hulu announced Wednesday that they have partnered with the National Hockey League (NHL) to begin offering free-on-demand hockey content through the online video service. Under the agreement, the NHL will provide full-length “Games of the Week,” full-length classic games, “Best of the Week” highlights and all-access features focused on NHL players or events.

Hulu also announced public launch of its Web site, Hulu.com (www.hulu.com). In addition to NHL content, U.S. consumers can go to Hulu.com beginning today to watch a large selection of hit TV shows, movies, clips and more in high-quality – any time, for free.
